When it fits
You have been applying for a while. The few responses you get are templates, or silence. Nobody tells you why, so you fill in the blank yourself, often with “my work isn’t good enough.”
That may not be what is happening. Two other things are worth checking.
The first is how your CV is read. Many larger companies screen applications through a tracking system before a person reads them, and the CV can be the first gate even if the portfolio has had far more of your attention.
The second is applying for several different roles at once. The market has fragmented: product designer, UX researcher, design systems, AI-native product work. These want different evidence, and materials aimed at all of them can read as generic to each.
Neither is necessarily a craft problem. Both are positioning questions, and an honest outside read can make a clearer position easier to reach. One session cannot change the market, and it cannot promise replies or offers.
How it works
Before: you send your CV, your portfolio or LinkedIn, and two or three real job posts you'd apply for. I read all of it the way it actually gets read — quickly, with a lot competing for attention. That's not cruelty. That's the actual conditions.
During (60 minutes): we settle what you're positioning as, then check whether your materials argue for it. I'll show you where a screener stops reading, which case study is carrying you and which one is costing you, and where you're describing what you did instead of what changed because you did it.
After (within 48 hours): written takeaways. The position we landed on, the specific edits in priority order, and the one thing to fix before your next application.
Why me
I have spent years on the hiring side as a product design leader, so I can describe how applications tend to be read from experience, not from what the internet says happens.
I also have a master’s in psychology. Months of silence can affect how people see their own work: materials can become more defensive, applications more scattered, and the story you tell about yourself smaller. Part of the hour is separating what the market is telling you from what the silence has done to your read on yourself.
Who this is for
Designers and researchers actively applying for product design or UX research roles who are getting filtered out early and can’t tell why. Also people mid-pivot — from UI to product, from design to research, from agency to in-house — who suspect their materials are still arguing for the old job. This is an independent session: you do not need to have done Clarity or Shaping first.
Not for you if you want someone to rewrite your CV for you, or if you're looking for reassurance rather than an honest read. I'll be kind about it, but I'll tell you what I actually see.
